Data & Charts

Why don’t the issues show up in the tag cloud for every week of pregnancy?
Not all tests or issues occur at all stages of pregnancy. If you search for issues by week, you may not find information for tests or complications that do not occur during that time.
Do you have information about topics not listed in the “Find Your Issue” cloud?
The topics listed in the cloud are the ones for which there is current data. There are two ways to get more information about topics not listed: 1) Let us know the issues you are interested in and we will consider addressing these topics as the site grows. 2) You can request custom research. For a fee, we will find and summarize the best medical studies on your topic of interest and send you a customized report.
Why is some data, like amniocentesis, not showing up in certain weeks of pregnancy?
Some data doesn’t exist because those conditions simply do not exist at that point in the pregnancy. For example, there is no data for amniocentesis in the early weeks of the pregnancy – it’s simply not applicable at that stage.
I’m in an issue and am seeing a “no data available” message. Why?
You may have applied filters for which there aren’t enough responses to give you credible data about a specific issue. Try clearing your filters, then applying just one or two filters. You can also opt for custom research – for a small fee – for information specific to your area of interest.
How do I read the charts?
There is a legend (or key) beneath the chart that tells you what those percentages mean. Also, try placing your mouse on top of the chart – you should see the percentages that correspond with the number of women who chose that option or decision.
How do I enable or disable filters?
Look to the side bar, where the filters are. You can select filters and click “Apply Filters” to enable filters or choose “Clear Filters” to disable filters.
I still have questions about a specific issue. Where can I find more information?
There are three ways to get more information about a health issue: 1) You can find detailed descriptions, along with questions to ask your doctor, in the Research the Issues channel. 2) In Research the Issues, you can also find a list of sources we used to compile the information. 3) You can request custom research. WiserTogether researchers will find the most relevant medical information on the topic you’re interested in, then create a customized report just for you.
