Just put on bed rest for a small placental abruption at only 18 weeks. Wondering what are my chances of carrying the baby to term. Would love to hear from those with this experience and what they think caused it to happen.

I'm glad to see this statistic. If one in four ob-gyns see the value of childbirth classes despite having the knowledge to handle the medical and surgical aspects of childbearing, it shows that there's much more to learn and prepare for! I was in midwifery school when I was pregnant with my first child (and gave birth just after passing boards). I took a childbirth class so that I could practice relaxation, "unlearn" some of my knowledge about complications and emergencies (I had to know about them for my professional preparation but didn't want those thoughts to dominate in my own labor), and get my husband up to speed. I had a great birth and my husband was extremely supportive!
